We are thrilled to announce that Cortland Design took home the award for Best Interior Merchandising of a Leasing Center for The Viridian located in Decatur, GA during the NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards for interior design. Designers Jill Barnes, Allison Crosby, and Cliff Joseph accepted the award for their winning interior design below.
Photographer Jason Jones beautifully captures the mid-century modern design of the leasing center at Viridian. Our interior designers drew inspiration from famed architect and designer Frank Llyod Wright, benefiting from the local area’s modern and younger culture. Flanked by art-deco wall coverings, the reception desk is constructed of onyx that is backlit in the center and framed in a high-gloss lacquer. A cantilever puzzle makes a stunning architectural room divider that separates the reception foyer from the leasing lounge. Various wood finishes, lucite furniture, mixed metals, and bold hues of orange and turquoise in both accents and artwork round off the design and create a space that immediately attracts prospective residents.
